Byen I Byen

Byen I Byen is an initiative by the Danish municipality of Frederiksberg. Instead of having a lot of valuable movies lying around in the basement collecting dust, they chose to digitize the clips. This has increased the viewership manyfold as few people would visit the library every year, but thousands of people have seen clips from the site. A lot of the views have come from outside the site itself as schools and other institutions have begun embedding the clips on their own websites.
