Byen I Byen is an initiative by the Danish municipality of Frederiksberg. Instead of having a lot of valuable movies lying around in the basement collecting dust, they chose to digitize the clips. This has increased the viewership manyfold as few people would visit the library every year, but thousands of people have seen clips from the site. A lot of the views have come from outside the site itself as schools and other institutions have begun embedding the clips on their own websites.

The shop assistant shows you a couple of glasses that would fit your style and shape. She then records you wearing the glasses so you can share the video with friends and family to decide which glasses fit you the best. This is the scenario at Poul Stig Briller in Copenhagen that has decided to use the technical tools available today to enhance the shopping experience.
